Board of Management
The Board of Management is responsible for the day to day running of the school, the code of discipline, enrolling of new pupils, the appointment of teachers, maintaining the school (ground floor only) and all dealings with the Department of Education. The School is unusual in that it has a Board of Governors who own the building, the School is effectively a tenant of the building. Read about the history of the school here.
Each member of the Board fulfills a role in the effective running of the school these include chairperson, secretary, treasurer, Human Resource Management to non teaching staff, insurance, maintenance of the building, enrolment processing and dealings with the Department of Education and Skills and other agencies.
The Board of Management is composed of
- Two nominees of the Patron: Chairman, Rev. Neal Phair.
- Two elected parents: one a father and one a mother of pupils currently enrolled in the school
- The Principal: Ms. Woods
- A Teacher elected by the teaching staff
- Two persons nominated by the above six representing the community
